Dr. Timothy J. Brown is the author of No One Cheers for Goliath, Winner of the 2022 NYC Big Book Award For African American Nonfiction. Timothy earned his B.A. and M.A. degrees in Communication Studies from West Chester University. Timothy received his doctorate at Ohio University’s School of Interpersonal Communication's program (now the School of Communication Studies in the Scripps College of Communication) It was at Ohio University, where he met his wife, Laura Hamilton Brown, Ph.D. Timothy is currently the Dean of Liberal Arts at Montgomery County Community College where he oversees 15 departments encompassing the arts & humanities and social sciences.

Timothy’s work focuses on the intersection of culture, communication, and identity. He has made over 80 presentations, has co-authored several textbooks and is a national motivational speaker and workshop presenter on leadership skills.

No One Cheers For Goliath is a testimony of obstacles overcome and leadership lessons learned.
