The 15th annual James River Writers Conference will be held October 14 and October 15 at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. The conference features pitch sessions with agents and editors, panel discussions with award-winning authors and industry experts, networking, and the Library of Virginia's Literary Luncheon with lifetime achievement award winner David Baldacci.

 

Writers of all genres and experience levels are welcome!

Participants include authors Beth Macy, Meg Medina, and Margot Lee Shetterly; and literary agents Ben Grange (L.Perkins Agency), Caroline Eisenmann (Frances Goldin Literary Agency), Annie Hwang (Folio Lit), Cherise Fisher (Wendy Sherman Associates), and Erica Bauman (Aevitas Creative Management); and editors Jaime Coyne (St. Martins), Esi Sogah (Kensington Books), and Carrie Thornton (HarperCollins).

 

Your ticket includes the two-day event, the Library of Virginia Luncheon on Saturday, a boxed lunch and access to several different "Lunch and Learns" on Sunday, a one-on-one meeting with an agent or editor, the chance to meet individually with various experts, and numerous panels and key notes. The cost of the conference starts at $280.
